Damian Marley y Mick Jagger tocando juntos??

Sí, aunque parezca mentira, es cierto. En realidad Damian Marley, Mick Jagger, Joss Stone (cantante y compositora inglesa de soul, R&B y blues), Dave Stewart (componente de Eurythmics) y el compositor hindú A.R. Rahman (creador de la banda sonora de Slumdog Millionaire).

La nueva agrupación, que ha estado trabajando en el estudio de grabación desde hace 18 meses, lleva por nombre Super Heavy, y tocará diferentes palos desde el reggae hasta el rock, pasando por baladas e incluso canciones indias en Urdu. El mismo Jagger ha comentado: "Es diferente a cualquier cosa en la que he estado involucrado".
Parece ser que Dave Stewart hace un par de años invitó a Jagger a su casa en Jamaica y le propuso realizar un grupo fusión debido a que, según cuenta el propio Stewart: "Yo vivo en la bahía de Santa Ana, que es una especie de jungla y a veces escucho tres sound systems tocando diferentes cosas. Siempre he amado eso, junto con las orquestas de la India". Dicho y hecho, se pusieron manos a la obra y, como ellos mismos dicen: "empezamos a improvisar y a hacer ruido".

Ya en el mes de junio de este año el grupo presentó algunos de sus temas, si bien su primer disco se está haciendo esperar. Ciertas informaciones nos hacen saber que el disco se está editando por separado y está siendo grabado en distintos lugares (Florida, Francia, Grecia, Turquía, India y Caribe). Incluso se dice que la primera compilación de grabaciones duró 35 horas, y algunos tracks llegaron ha durar más de una hora porque fueron el resultado de varios ensayos.



Su primer single lleva por nombre "Miracle Worker", y lo cierto es que no tiene desperdicio. Aquí os dejo un enlace de YouTube y una transcripción bastante buena que he encontrado:
